(b.1990, Singapore) |
Choo Li Wei Lewis (b. 1990, Singapore) is a sculptor and ceramicist whose work grows from hyper-local experiences and quiet reflection. He transforms everyday objects into forms that explore fragility, refuge, and transformation, occasionally tracing fleeting echoes of myth, story, or memory.
Process is central to his practice. Through ceramics, clay sculptures, and mixed-media interventions, Choo experiments with material, scale, and technique, letting observation and intuition guide each project.
By bridging the everyday with the conceptual, Choo invites viewers to pause, reflect, and consider the narratives embedded in objects and environments. By translating lived experience and gentle traces of myth into tangible form, Choo creates projects that are contemplative, experimental, and attuned to the rhythms of life.
